This is a post about a beautiful city in Morrocco, north-west Africa. I enjoy writing about different places and I thought for a change, I would consider writing about a city tghat does not very often get mentioned much, this city is Tangier.
This city is has a population of 700,000, which was in 2008. Tangier is situated on the North African coast, where you will find the at the western entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar, which is where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Spartel. Tangier is the capital city of the Tangier-Tétouan Region.

There is alot to say about this city when it comes to her history, there was presence of many civilizations and cultures starting from the 5th century BC. In 1923 Tangier was attributed an international status by foreign colonial powers, thus becoming a destination for many Europeans and non-Europeans alike such as Americans and Indians. But today you will find that the city of Tangier is trying to become more modern and up to date, with many new hotels, and business’s starting up. Also thanks to the new irport terminal and a new soccer stadium it has become a more international city than ever before. It also benefits from having an a major international port.
To learn more about the history of Tangier and how this city has changed over time, please refer to the Wikipedia link.
