I still remember seeing the hair and nails of some of the dead, it was disgusting. But do remember what the Germans did to the jews in those awful camps that was just has disgusting to. Also remember what the japanese did to the british, by making them starve and sticking them in small cages, shooting them and hanging them it was all disgusting. No one deserved to win or lose as everyone was has bad as each other. War is WRONG! The justification that the atomic bombs were used to end the war quickly, thus <i>saving</i> lives is a fallacy. The bombings were a warning to the Soviet Union so they wouldn't enter the war. What happened in Hiroshima and Nagasaki should be condemned as horrendous war crimes which any American should be ashamed of. That's not to say the Japanese weren't guilty of their own atrocities, but their leaders were hanged for their crimes, not celebrated.
