Erdek is a Turkish city situated in the Balıkesir Province in the Marmara region of Turkey, it is situated on the north coast of Gulf of Erdek at the south of the Sea of Marmara. Erdek has become a very popular seaside town for many visitors and has also become known as a friendly holiday destination that has become very popular with local people as well as foreigner’s.
This town is located on a lower part of a Turkish mountain towards the sea. There appears to be hill areas and woodland areas as well as sanded areas. If you look at the picture of the city it is definately on rugged ground. But you will also find that ther are a number of large olive trees, help to keep the economic stablity going.
When you arrive in Turkey, you will find that Erdek is quite close to the city of Bandırma and a ferry harbour. There are plenty of places to stay including hotels, cafe’s, houses and villas to enjoy and some of the cafe’s at the seaside are quite famous within the city centre of Erdek, plenty to do and see.
