This is Gangneung city in South Korea, Asia.

Gangneung, it is a city in the region of Gangwon-do, which is situated on the east coast of the country, South Korea in Asia, back in 2006 there was a population of 229,869. This city is an economic centre of the Yeongdong region of eastern Gangwon Province. You will find that this city is a very popular touristic place to visit and it has a very attractive beach known as Jeongdongjin beach, it is a very beautiful golden sandy beach, that stretches for 250m, and three main swimming spots, and one is included in the Moraeshigae Park, where you can swim night and day, lots to see and do, there is a Yeongin Pavilion, sculptures to see, lots of rocks, and also in the park you will find summit of Mt. Goseong, where you can go up and visit, there is a fair sort of park for the kids and families, and places to eat and drink and there is also a train service to the attraction. You will also find a ROK airbase south of Gangneung which formerly doubled as a civil airport. Plenty of places to stay and relax, and for all you football fans you have the, home to National League soccer club Gangneung City FC and K-League soccer team Gangwon FC and lots of shops, restaurants, pubs etc.
