Welcome to Belmont, which is a small city found in San Mateo County, California, United States. So where exacty is Belmont city, well you will  find the city in the San Francisco Bay Area, it is found half-way down the San Francisco Peninsula between San Mateo and San Carlos. Belmont used to originally be part of the Rancho de las Pulgas, and you will notice that one of main roads in Belmont, is known as the Alameda de las Pulgas.

Belmont was incorporated in 1926, and by 2010, the census said their was a population of 25,835. It appears that Belmont has become known for Ralston Hall which happens to be an historic landmark built by Bank of California founder, William Chapman Ralston, the hall was built on the campus of Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont. I The hall was actually built around a villa, that used to be owned by Count Cipriani, who was an Italian aristocrat. But you will also get to see the locally famous “Waterdog Lake”, this can be found in the foothills and highlands of Belmont. There is also one of  two structures, that came from the  Panama-Pacific International Exposition, which can be seen on Belmont Avenue, the other structure is the Palace of Fine Arts which can be seen in San Francisco. It appears that the building for the structures was brought to Belmont by E.D. Swift shortly after the exposition closed in 1915, and he at that time owned a large amount of landwithin the area. There is also two Distinguished California Schools in Belmont and they are Carlmont High School and Ralston Middle School. Finally, wether this is good or bad, it appears that Belmont, has become more noticeable, due to the city passing in January 2009, a  smoking ordinance, this means that there have been bans on smoking in all businesses and multi-story apartments, aswell, as condominiums, and because of this pass, Belmont, has been described as one of the strictest in the nation in the U.S.A.
