The state of Liechtenstein was created around 1719, when two lords, one of Schellenberg and the other of Vaduz, joined together during the Holy Roman Empire. It wasn’t until 1806, when the country joined up with Rhine Federation and shortly after that in 1815, it joined the German Confederation and then became an independant state or country in the year of 1866. By 1921 unicameral parliament was formed, but Liechtenstein stilled remained as a monarchy, headed by the prince. The picture below show Vaduz Castle, where the monarchy live. Normally a certain amount of members will issue, certain legislations. The industries began after wold war two and by 1984, women were allowed to vote. In 2003 the liechtenstein people voted to give their prince full sovereign powers, but he later declared that he would give up politics and pass the rights on to his heir Prince Alois, even though Prince Hans Adam II, would stay as the head of state.
