The kingdom of Tonga.

By Mark on January 4, 2009

Tonga comprimises of one hundred and seventy islands in the pacific ocean, just north-east of the country New Zealand. Most of these island’s are to small for habitation.
The three main island’s are the largest Tongatapu, with about sixty percent of the population living there, the next two islands after Tongatapu are Ha’apai and Vava’u. But even these islands contain coral, some volcanic with active craters.
The climate is warm and wet and that is good because the economy of Tonga relies alot on agriculture.
The Tongans rely on oil and fertile soil, the soil helps alot in growing bananas and coconuts. The majority of trade is with New Zealand, even though they also trade with Japan and Australia, with ceratain exports like fish, squash, root crops and vanilla beans.
As well as trading the Tongan island relies on tourism, which is very popular, because of the blue sea’s and skies and the magnificent islands.
I have been given a website, please look and decide, what this website represents, it is very interesting, take a look. http://www.kalianet.to/hideawayeua/location.html. thankyou to Rob Hight.
Below are a mixture of satellite images from Google Earth and Videos from Youtube of the Tongan Islands etc.

The Austronesian-speaking people have occupied the islands for years going back to 1000 BC, by the 13th century, the Tongansd ruled islands has far as Hawaii. In 1773 James Cooke named the islands the friendly islands and the country soon recieved missionaries. King George Tupou I (1845-1893), he unified the nation and made it into a constitution. To learn more of Tonga’s history please refer to Wikpedia at the bottom of this post, thankyou.

Why is the island of ‘Eau incorrectly referred to as the island of Kallaul on Google Earth and your web site? How do you correct such errors on Google Earth? Why has someone invented the Principality of Callistonia? It is very disappointing that such mis-information is allowed to persist on Google Earth.
‘Eau is an incredible place to visit and deserves to be correctly attributed in Google Earth – see a genuine website about ‘Eau http://www.kalianet.to/hideawayeua/location.html

I am very sorry to hear that I have made mistakes on my post, as you can see I do go with Google Earth and so it is disappointing to me that this information is incorrect, I will be very happy to add your link to the post, so that it points out what you have said. Thankyou for you comment.

    Dear Mr Rob Hight,

I can assure you that you must be mistaken Sir, for the Principality of Callistonia has been fully established since 2007 and certainly should appear on Google Earth.

As the nation’s premier Ambassador, I welcome any other questions you may have. We pose no threat, nor will we ever, to Tonga and it’s gracious leader King Tupou V.

We wholheartedly renounce any rumours that we have been involved in attempts to topple his reign of Tonga.

    We are a peaceful nation.
