I still think that Ireland were right to make that choice and well done to them what balls, I wish some of the other countries in Europe would say No and stop following like sheep. Ireland is a cool place to visit so well done to the Irish Spirit.

The Irish rejected the Treaty of Nice in 2001, but that didn't stop governments pushing through their plans for a united Europe regardless. The Irish didn't laugh then, and they won't be laughing this time either.

Anyway, talking about politics is starting to depress me. You're right about Dublin and Ireland as a whole. It's a beautiful country with much to be proud of. Take a virtual trip in Google Earth and look at the photos on Panoramio.com, too! :)

EU will survive even the Irish NO!
A few years from now the Irish will laugh at themselves!

That does not make Dublin less attractive.
But Mark's virtual trip may suffice for the time being!

All the best

News just in: the Irish have voted NO to the Lisbon treaty. Congratulations Ireland, you've saved Europe from faceless, unelectable politicians deciding foreign policy in Brussels on the behalf of everyone who wasn't allowed to vote on the treaty.

Last I heard, Ireland is the EU-member that benefited most from membership! Vote YES to Lisbon and deeper integration.

We love Dublin's Pubs, MUSIC and the Gaelic leprecauns.

After all it is our (I am a civilized Viking)
city and we love it!

Thank you Mark!

You made me book a place in beautiful Cyprus!
I think I' ll spend a few days in Dublin on my way back!

Last I heard, the Irish weren't too keen on Europe's growing influence on their country. Vote NO to Lisbon ;) .
