The capital city Copenhagen in Denmark is worth a look.

By Mark on October 31, 2009

This is a post about the Danish capital city, Copenhagen in the north central of Europe. Emma and her sister are going to visit the city in November, 2009. They are both looking forward to the visit and seeing this magnificent city. So I thought it would make some sense for me to write about Copenhagen, so here we go. Being the capital city it is of course the largest city in Denmark, also this city expands into an urban area with a population estimated at 1,167,569 in 2009, and the metropolitan area with a population of 1,875,179 in 2009. If you have never visited this country before you would not have known that Denmark is a mainland area, but also it contains many islands, Copenhagen is situated on the Zealand and Amager islands.
I would agree with what was written wikipedia that Copenhagen is the best city to live in and visit. This city being so close to the lakes, the fresh air is wonderful and it is not a overly busy city if you compared it to the larger cities inthe world like Peking (China), Tokyo (Japan), London (England) and Washington D.C (U.S.A). But that means that you have lesser chance of picking illnesses etc. Also this city is one of the world’s most environmentally friendly cities, this is because the lakes are so clean that the Danish people will go for a swim in them and they are a very healthy population with alot of the citizens walking and cycling to work. If you want to learn more about this capital city and it’s country, please refer to the links at the bottom of this post.
