The beautiful sunny country of French Guiana, South America.

By Mark on March 4, 2009

This is a post about another South American country called French Guiana or (Guyana). It lyes between Brazil to the south and Surinam to the west, with a very wet and tropical enviroment, with an estimated population of 221,500+ taken in 2008. Now this so called country is more like a department of France.
French Guiana, became the poperty of France in 1817, the French had though been around since 1604, then in 1852 this place became a penal colony and it then finally became an overseas French Department in 1946.
The main trading partners are France and United States of America, farming, forestry and fishing are main trades with mineral resources that are unexploited and the industry is very limited to what it can do over there.
