The FIFA World Cup, the Football World Cup or the Soccer World Cup, is usually referred to as the World Cup, it is a international association football competition for the men’s national football and these teams are teams members of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA),which is known as the sport’s global governing body. The competition takes place every four years since it began back in 1930, except in 1942 and 1946 when it was not contested because of World War II.
So how it works the tournement consists of 32 teams competing for the title at venues within the host nation or nations and normally goes on for about a month – this phase is often called the World Cup Finals. They normally have a three year qualfication phase, it they goes on to determine which teams qualify for the tournament together with the host nation(s).

Over the past 18 tournaments which have been held, it has come to show that seven nations have won the title. The main nations happens to be Brazil they have won the World Cup a record five times, on top of that they are the only team to have played in every tournament. The current champions, Italy, have won competition four, with Germany winning the title three times. There are other nations that have won this tournenment before they are Uruguay, winners of the inaugural tournament, and Argentina, with two titles each, and England and France, with one title each.
