Rustenburg, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, welcome England to the 2010 Football World Cup, South Africa.

By Mark on June 7, 2010

Here we have three of the venues, that England will be playing in the group stages of the World Cup, they are the Royal Bafokeng Stadium, Phokeng, Green Point Stadium in Cape Town and the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth. England will be taking on the United States, Algeria and Slovenia to finish off, lets hope they win the group otherwise, if they end second and Germany win their group England will be facing them, or if the roles were reversed, lets hope, both England and Germany win their group. But what wonderful places for the English people to visit, it will of course be autumn weather which might suit England. I am really looking forward to this competition, I am not a wholey football fan, but when England play I enjoy watching them, and we may have a chance this year who knows. But being the first time this competition has ever been held in South Africa and Africa in whole, I would imagine, that alot of people will be wanting to go to the games from all over the African continent aswell as the rest of the world. The whole tournement begins on Friday 11th June, but on the evening of Thursday 10th June, coming live from Soweto’s Orlando Stadium, there will be a curtain-raiser, music concert, with many footballing stars and singers from around the world and South Africa, including artists like Alicia Keys, Angelique Kidjo, Amadou and Mariam and the Black Eyed Peas, so that should really get things started.
