Here is Kiribati, Christmas Island or Kirimati.

By Mark on January 1, 2009

This is my next post about the small island of Kiribati, Christmas Island or Kirimati, in the Pacific Ocean not to far away from Hawaii to her right and Australiasia to her left.
It is the first known country on the 24 hour timezone to go through to the next day before any other country.
It comprises of 13 different islands, lying either side of the equator or between longitudes of east and west.
Many of the islands are mere coral atolls no more than 0.5 miles or 1 km long.
Kiribati is basically made up of 16 former Gilbert islands, 8 Line islands, 8 Phoenix islands and Ocean island (Banaba).
Below are a mixture of pictures and Videos of Kiribati or Christmas Island.

yes I know it is very worrying because these small islands are being bashed everyday by the sea. It will not be to long before we lose these smashing places, it’s heart breaking. Plus they are not the richest of nations. So they have to relie on others to help them at times.
