Elvis Aaron Presley was born on the 8th January 1935 and went on to become one of the world’s most famous american singer, actor. He became such an icon that he need to be protected where ever he went. This man became known as Elvis, The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll or The King.
It all began back in 1954, when this young man was found and started singing country and rhythm blues, but he went on to sing so many different types of music ie rock and roll, gospel, blues, country, ballads and pop. But even though he became so successful, it was the 1973 global live concert, which was staged in Aloha, Hawaii and was shown to at least one billion viewers and an extra 500 million on delay. This concert remains the the most watched broadcast by an individual entertainer in television history. Elvis went on to make even more history with selling records between 600 million to one billion worldwide. And with 14 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, also being named one of the most outstanding young men of the nation 1970. He really was an amazing person.
Sadly on the 16th August 1977, this world icon died at home in Gracelands, due to health problems and prescription medication, that he was on ended up leading to his death at just the age of 42 years old.
