Asia’s exotic gem, Thailand.

By Mark on January 31, 2009

This is a post about the exotic country of Thailand within the south-east corner of Asia.
Thailand appears to be a very popular place to visit for the British people. It is exciting, adventurous and very historic, plus Thailand has gorgeous beaches.
Now what else can i say about this country, there are always polictical problems in Thailand and only recently, i remember hearing how some British people were caught up in a airport, due to demonstrations by the Thai people about their own government. But apart from the polictical problems this is a country that has so much to offer.
Thailand happens to be the largest country within the Indo-Chine peninsula and it has coastlines all around the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman sea. In central Thailand the river Chao Phraya runs through the country and it also contains Bangkok along it’s way.
To the east is a dry plateau which has been drained and has tribuutaries of the Mekong river, where the rest of the country basically has forests and mountains and they go alway down through the Malay peninsula.
The climate is hot, humid and very monsoonal. To learn more about Thailand and Bangkok please refer to Wikipedia at the bottom of this post.
